Mercure Hotel Bochum reviews

Excellent hotel with very good facilities right in the city center and across the street from the station.Very good facilities including a gym and sauna, meeting rooms, free and accessible water fountain with sparkling water, good restaurant and a great lounge area to sit and work or read.One very annoying point is the staff not being flexible at all with even a slightly late check out (even if you have an membership and a voyager card).

Only 1 feedback: the housekeeping should come everyday to check the rooms. For example toiletpaper and new towels. Unfortunately we had to ask the reception because Our housekeeping didn’t check our rooms and we were there for two nights. It would’ve been a five if the housekeeping would’ve come every day.

Exceptional 😀 - Friendly and attention to detail.The staff go the extra mile. 😞 - Room is only serviced every second day in spite of full payment for each day. Kinda felt cheated on the second day as only half service in the room for full payment.

Very tidy hotel, clean rooms, plenty of space. Fridge and a safe which is good. Comfy bed and great views from the high floors. Breakfast is fantastic.

Convenient location and great service Conveniently located just off Bochum Central Train Station (thus easily accessed from Dusseldorf Airport), it is a welcoming hotel that conveys freshness and tranquility. I stayed for one night, and booked a single room, which was spacious, and although simple, tastefully designed in earthy notes (lacking consistency though), ergonomic and comfortable; while the bathroom was more old-fashioned, but equally nice. The restaurant-bar and the lounge area were airy and slick and pleasant to hang around. Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented, but quite standard -no surprises here. But most important, the service has been impeccable in all aspects, with the personnel always being ready to assist. Overall, a smooth stay and an option I would reconsider, when back in town.

We loved our stay at Mercure hotel 😀 - Great hotel right in the centre next to the train station, quiet and family friendly ( without asking they had a cot ready for our grandchild) , free refillable water station, fresh fruit and croissants all day, and room to play card games with the kids, we were pleasantly surprised how good it was 😞 - The bathroom could get an update

Clean, comfortable and good location 😀 - Lovely clean rooms and an amazing breakfast. The barman kindly created Cosmopolitan cocktails for us on arrival which was lovely. 😞 - The bar/lounge area is closed during the day - we got back about 3.30 to have a drink but it doesn’t open until 5pm - weird concept!

We’ve stayed at the hotel maybe 10 times always good.Little disappointed the bar didn’t open before 17:00. Rooms still good value for money.Slight issue with the shower in one room then my daughter had to move due to window not opening

From the moment of welcome us to the room to the breakfast everything was just fine , if around another time i wont think twice to stay here!

Very Good 😀 - The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Comfortable bed. Bathrooms are a bit ‘old’ but functional and clean. The staff is very helpful and kind, the location of the hotel is central and close to bus, metro and the railway station. 😞 - Breakfast was not bad. In fact, it was quite rich and varied. But frankly too expensive. 27 euros for a breakfast really seems overpriced to me. Otherwise, I don't have much to add. The stay was pleasant

Exceptional 😀 - Cozy room and delicious breakfast with a variety of food (hot meals, appetizers, good coffee). Moreover, I got a privileged room with complimentary drinks and snacks in the fridge. Staff nice and helpful. 😞 - None
